DIY Oven Cleaner
Listen Listen Listen... I saw this homemade oven cleaner recipe floating around the book of faces, and i KNEW i had to try it. If you know me and you've been here to cook/bake with me you know cleaning the oven is NOT something that ever makes it on my to do list. First off it's never fun, it's always messy, and the store bought oven cleaners smell and I'm not about that.
But I saw i already had everything on hand for this so i figured 4:30 pm middle of the week, here we go seems like a really good time to clean the oven.
so all you'll need is a spray bottle, (if you don't have one on hand feel free to dump one of the toxic cleaners from underneath your sink and use that ;) ) , Dish Soap, Water, Vinegar, and Lemon Juice.
Combine
1/4 Cup of Dish Soap
1/2 Cup Lemon Juice
1 Cup Vinegar
1 1/4 Cup of water
then i used a funnel to pour into spray bottle shake gently spray away, i let it sit for 10 minutes or so and started to wipe and scrub the bad spots that needed a little more muscle. I truly wish i took before pictures but you'd all disown me for how awful it was. next time. haha.
so save yourself from toxic oven cleaner, stock up on these supplies, we buy vinegar in gallon jugs because. we use it for a lot of our homemade cleaners and we always have it on hand! so simple, so easy, and smells delicious!
